With all the talk going on in my Media Literacy class, I began investigating resources to help me and my future teachers deal with how to teach using technology in a safe and appropriate manner. Growing up in the technology age I wa snever really taught about the dangers; it took me awhile to convince my parents I need a hotmail acocunt however they never told me why I needed to be older. As I grew up though, I began to learn about the dangers of fake identities in chat rooms and identity fraud and false information when doing research projects.

Now that I am in my final year of University, I haveto think ahead to the students I will be teaching. The world wide web has changed dramatically from 20 years ago when I logged online for the first time. I need to ensure that I can safely navigate their learning. After some research I found a site that gives alot of great advice and details when teaching young children how to use the internet properly.

Below is a link not only teacher firendly, but kid friendly as well!

Juts click the link below; it has amazing resources for future lesson plans and for those 'teachable moments'.

Cheers!
